VenueVen - the islandThe Graduate summer school Biophotonics '09 will take place on the scenic island Ven situated between Sweden and Denmark. The island Ven hosted the laboratory of the Danish scientist Tycho Brahe (1546-1601), whose observations inspired Keppler in his work. From the island, there is a perfect view to Kronborg, known as Hamlet's Castle in the famous play by W. Shakespeare. The island itself is relatively small covering only a few square-kilometers. However, a number of leisure time activities, including sailing, golfing, fishing, bathing and more, are offered. For more information, please follow this link. If you use Google maps, you may use the search word 'Hven' or 'Ven'.
